Louisiana Teen & Adolescent Treatement Center Appointee Kylii Bijeaux Named New Beginnings Admissions Coordinator

OPELOUSAS, LA: Kylii Bijeaux has been named Admissions Coordinator for the Opelousas based New Beginnings teen & adolescent substance abuse treatment center. Chase Glenn, CEO of New Beginnings announced Bijeaux’s appointment. “Kylii has assumed a most important role with our treatment center as her position as Admissions Coordinator puts her as the first contact with our patients and their family members. Her background in the field of addiction coupled with her outgoing and warm personality will be of great assistance to families as they make important life decisions relating to their teen or adolescent family member.”
Bijeaux is a native of Cecilia, Louisiana and is a 1997 graduate of Cecilia High School. She worked with addicted individuals since 2005 and in the substance abuse treatment healthcare field since 2010. She has been associated with several adult treatment centers in the Acadiana area in her career. In 2011, she graduated from South Louisiana Community College and earned her Associate Degree while also serving as Class President, Class Valedictorian and receiving the SLCC Most Outstanding Graduate Award in 2011.
She is married with two sons and enjoys crossfire exercise and spending family time with her husband and sons.
Commenting on her position with New Beginnings, she remarks, “I get to see our teen and adolescent residents and their family members when they first make contact with New Beginnings. From that tough time in their lives, I get to observe as they gain the benefits our treatment programs and watch them return to their lives with more hope and positive outlooks for the entire family. That’s so rewarding.”
New Beginnings is an award winning residential facility for teenagers who have substance abuse issues and co-occurring disorders. The 22 acre New Beginnings campus located in Opelousas, Louisiana, has 24/7 nurses, psychiatrists, and master level therapists along with an on-campus ropes course, art therapies, music therapy, and many recreational activities. New Beginnings is nationally recognized for it’s innovative and effective programing and is a member of the NAATP National Association of Addiction Treatment Providers and the NATSAP (National Association of Therapeutic Schools and Programs). The program is CARF accredited.

A native of El Reno Oklahoma, Glenn grew up in the equestrian industry and studied Equine Business Management from West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas. Following his education, he began a career in the equestrian industry but in 2006, following his treatment for alcohol addiction, he refocused his career to helping parents find treatment for their own children’s addiction. Part of his career experience was in the field of Wilderness Therapy where he used the outdoor experience to help teens with their addiction issues. Read full article

It takes more than academic achievements to work successfully with teenagers struggling with drug or alcohol abuse.
